About Us
My name is Bryce Demoret, the founder of Caps For A Cause and a resident physician training to become a board-certified dermatologist. If you know me, you're most likely familiar with my hatred of cancer. It has affected me in many ways, and I'm sure it has affected many of you and your loved ones as well. I created this non-profit organization for many reasons: 1) #cancersucks, 2) To educate my family, friends, and community on skin cancer's dangers, 3) Let's be honest; everyone looks better in a wide-brimmed hat!
Our overall mission is to increase skin cancer awareness and promote education about the dangers of skin cancer to further a social cause and provide a public benefit.
Caps For A Cause will keep this website up-to-date with information, including education on different skin cancers, risk factors, prevention, and early detection. We aim to provide you with enough information to know when it's time to consult a dermatologist.
A minor portion of proceeds goes toward spreading awareness within the community via our website, events, and educational marketing material. A majority of contributions will be compiled at the end of the year and donated toward melanoma research.
Check out our Events page to learn more about the upcoming Annual Golf Outing and Annual Gala.
Let's spread the word about protecting our skin and have fun doing it!
